Melissa Hansen, Travel Program Director

As the Director of Travel for NextGreatTrip, I have the pleasure of crafting customized travel experiences for groups of varying sizes and interests. When I see the looks on people faces after I present them with what we have dreamed up for them I get miles of satisfaction. With a private plane at your fingertips no destination is too challenging to get to so we have the ability to really individualize each experience.

Favorite NextGreatTrip Experience: I get wrapped up in every NextGreatTrip that I plan so they have all become my favorites but I had a particularly good time planning a weekend trip to Santa Barbara, California.

Our Strategic Advisors

Our Advisory Board comprises travel, hospitality and aviation veterans that are visionaries and thought leaders in their respective industries.

Kent Myers, NextGreatTrip Advisor

Kent Myers: President, Airplanners LLC

Kent is somewhat of a legend in the realm of resort-focused aviation. Having served as lead marketer for major ski resorts such as Steamboat, Beaver Creek and Vail, Kent recognized that his biggest hurdle wasn’t the size of his terrain or the depth of his snow, but, rather, his ability to fly skiers into his resorts.

He crafted what has become a staple in modern-day remote resort flight programs – the “Minimum Revenue Guarantee” or the “subsidy” that major airlines now demand before opening new routes into remote resort destinations.

Mike Boyd, NextGreatTrip Advisor

Mike Boyd: Chairman, Boyd Aviation

Mike is one of the most recognized & respected names in global aviation. Over several decades, his company - Boyd Group International - has become the world’s leading aviation consulting, forecast and research firm in the world. BGI has aggregated the largest database of flight departures, routes and passenger data which airlines rely on to decide what routes to open up or shut down. He also advises airports worldwide on route mapping, carrier selection and airline recruitment.

Mike also organizes one of the largest global aviation conferences held in the world and attended by the foremost aviation leaders from manufacturers to carriers.

Bill Tomcich, NextGreatTrip Advisor

Bill Tomcich: President, Stay Aspen Snowmass & Executive Director, Fly Aspen Snowmass

Executive Director of Fly Aspen Snowmass, has one of the most challenging jobs in resort aviation worldwide – attracting major air carriers to service the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport, one of the most challenging & remote airports in the nation. And with commercial air service into Aspen approaching an all-time high, he’s clearly been up to the challenge.

And this is just Bill’s “moonlight” job, as his day job is that of President of Stay Aspen Snowmass, the resort destination’s leading accommodation booking agency.

Keith Downham, NextGreatTrip Advisor

Keith Downham: Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, Denver International Airport

Formerly with United Airlines, Keith runs financial planning & analysis for Denver International Airport (DIA), the 5th busiest airport in the U.S. and 15th busiest in the world with its 53 million passengers. At 34,000 acres (53 sq mi), DIA it is the largest airport in the United States by total area and diverse revenue streams from gate leases to oil exploration & production on premises.

Keith understands and advises us on all of the costs of operating aircraft & helps determine opportune airports for our missions based on cost, safety and convenience.
