The Perfect Long Weekend in Wine Country
While Napa Valley needs no introduction, it won't be long before word gets out about Wine Enthusiast's 2013 Wine Region of the Year - Paso Robles on California's Central Coast. This is a rare opportunity to seamlessly experience two world-class regions in one perfect trip.
DAY 1 - Private Charter Flight - Denver to Napa Valley
Hop on a luxurious 30 passenger jet and depart from a VIP terminal at Centennial Airport. Once you arrive at the private airport in Napa, we’ll help you make the most of the winemaking culture and history with some exclusive tastings and tours of world class vineyards. We’ve worked to get you access to some incredible vineyards and vintners away from the tourist trodden parts of the valley. Feeling more outdoorsy? Grab a performance road bike or cruiser from Velo Vino to experience the valley by bike. This evening, indulge in a culinary experience at one of the top 50 restaurants in the world, the 5 star French Laundry in Yountville, or it’s sister restaurant Bouchon Bistro. These are just two of the incredible restaurants in the valley to pick from this evening.
DAY 2 - Spa, wine tours, sunset flight down the coast - what else could you need?
After a refreshing night of sleep, wake up to picturesque views and grab an espresso before touring the Napa Valley. The day is yours to enjoy as you wish, but here are some fun ideas for your second day in Napa:
Enjoy some pampering and relaxation at the Bardessono Spa in Yountville
Stroll to any number of wineries within walking distance
For the passionate golfer, play 18 at Chardonnay Golf Course, where you’ll play over and around - but hopefully not through - working vineyards
Hike the Napa Valley Vine Trail
That evening, we’ll whisk you away on a quick 37 minute scenic flight south to Paso Robles where you will arrive in time for dinner a good night’s sleep.
DAY 3 - 2013 Wine Region of the Year, nearby seaside villages and a vibrant wine culture
Although your time in Napa was phenomenal, there’s so much to do in and around the fabulous wine region of Paso Robles. Nestled in the coastal mountain range of Central California, we recommend staying local one day and exploring over 200 wineries and the quaint Downtown Paso Robles. If you prefer to explore outside the wine region, we recommend visiting the nearby Hearst Castle and picture-perfect seaside villages like San Simeon, Morro Bay or go inland near San Luis Obispo. In the afternoon, we’ll have special behind the scenes access to Epoch Wines for a tour and tasting. Tonight, try dinner at Il Cortile or another delicious farm-to-table restaurant nearby.
DAY 4 - Home Again, But Even More Relaxed
Awake for a delicious Sunday brunch at Artisan in downtown before exploring the wineries around Paso a bit more. Perhaps mix things up and try an olive oil tasting at one of the organic farms near town, or just enjoy a lazy morning strolling or relaxing.
Now that you’ve sipped on some of the best wines, dined on artisan food and explored wine country with your loved ones, we’ll help you travel home in the same relaxed atmosphere you arrived aboard a your jet back to Centennial Airport home in time for a mother’s day dinner. When else can you say you experienced two wine regions in one luxurious weekend? It will be well worth your time. Cheers!
